This week will be all about rules: five days and five posts to understand and appreciate rules in a working environment.
When you've spent time creating rules that you believe are useful, fair and clear it's difficult to hear them criticised and even more difficult to gracefully offer to change them.
The trick is not focusing on the rule itself but on the problem-solving: you win when the best solution is found. And if someone else finds it you win twice because you didn't even have to do the work.
The measure of your success isn't how quickly you found the right one but that you were able to find the right one.
