That idea you share with the team is the last step of your creative process, the finished product, the beautiful piece of work that expresses your vision - for those on your team it's a building block, something to be used and altered to fit a greater vision.


Seeing your creation mangled often beyond recognition is how collaborative creative processes work. Sharing ideas is a desctructive act that leads to the creation of bigger ones. 


Creative maturity is letting go of your original idea and grabbing onto the new thing it's become. And then having more ideas.
